Why “Cammino” Consulting?
“Cammino” is an Italian word that translates into English as “journey,” “path,” or “the way.”
It also refers to the act of walking or making a pilgrimage, being present and moving intentionally from one place to another on an unknown path.
I believe that the processes of therapy, education, training, supervision, organizational change, and social/systemic transformation can all be understood and experienced as healing journeys. As humans we are constantly seeking to uncover and explore our authentic path, moving toward and through new understandings, setting new intentions, and developing new skills, connections and practices that reflect our values and extend our gifts — one step at a time, one season at a time. The road can be difficult at times, and every human deserves the opportunity to be supported along the way.
Sometimes a pilgrimage or journey is taken in solitude, but most often, our paths are populated with travel companions of various kinds. Humans are relational beings, and growth and healing often happen in relationship. Some companions are life-long; others join us for a season or a stretch of path. Some are simply the people we want to walk beside; others bring particular gifts, resources or supports for a given portion of our journey that we can carry with us even after that person has left our path.
As a consultant, therapist, energy healer, supervisor, trainer and advocate, I am honored to participate in the journeys of those who invite me to walk alongside them, join a stretch of their path, and offer my presence, experience, skills and knowledge to support their movement toward healing and wholeness.
